Cosy Hotel & Restaurant is located in the center of town, walking distance of supermarket, nearby the Jaffna Fort,  Railway station, and the central bus stop, cosy is usually expected the foreigners and tourist. There is a hotel, restaurant with fare services and additionally, they have Tamil cuisine making Indian, Chinese foods. To be fair, over 70% of the dish was just batter and deep fried onions (also in batter), but it was still a good dish with a misleading name. It’s crispy and oily and can be coupled with plain naans as well.

The Naan is the special food items they give up with special ingredients (chili, butter, and garlic)  and many varieties of ketchup’s, and give many curry and veg dishes. The naan is priced between (Rs.160 to 220) Kashmir special naan.  The specially made curries are Chettinad Chicken (Rs. 540) and the Crab Curry (Rs. 530), both packed with spices. The Brinjal Bharatha (Rs. 260) was also well prepared. The dish in itself is a somewhat dry eggplant curry, prepped with a lot of onions, tomatoes, and other herbs and spices. The Prawn Pagoda (Rs. 490) is an appetizer, It’s a huge portion (not complaining) of batter fried bits of prawns.

The outdoor seating area is superb because it’s fashioned in the style of old houses which had a courtyard in the middle of the building. In this case, the tables and chairs were placed all around it, with old photographs (similar to ones seen in FB’s Old Ceylon page) strung up and highlighted as well. The place isn’t maintained to the best of standards, so it’s a bit shabby and runs down, but not in a way that puts you off. The hotel additional featured with these things Rollaway/extra beds (surcharge) Private bathroom, Free toiletries, Terrace, Daily housekeeping, Laundry facilities. Its very specialty for the visitors. All the things their services are very best in hotel and restaurant. they make these environments good and special and the best place to stay and get good foods.
